Demi Yan
Former Student
My name is Demi Yan and i’ve been dancing at YDA for about 7 years. Dancing at YDA was a great experience of competitive dance and performing. I was also able to meet new people and make new friends. During the school year of 2020-21, I was part of the elite competition team and during the end of the school year we were able to go to YAGP Finals in Florida with a group dance. Now I am a student at OCSA (Orange County School of the Arts) for the Ballet and Contemporary Conservatory. YDA is a great studio and i will always be grateful for all the memories i’ve made.
Kate Zheng

My name is Kate Zheng and I practiced Chinese folk dance at YDA for around five years. I’m currently a Liberal Studies major at New York University. Dancing at YDA will always remain a memorable experience for me, as I was able to make so many new friends, become more in touch with Chinese culture, and also learn valuable life lessons. The community at YDA has helped me develop into who I am today, and I’ll always be grateful for the memories I was able to make at the studio!
