

Aoi was originally from Tokyo, Japan. At the age of 3, she began dancing ballet at Matsuyama Ballet company studio. At the age of 10, she joined and performed in many concerts/performances with the Matsuyama Ballet Company. Aihara also studied jazz, ballet, contemporary, tap, and musical theater at the Breath Performing Arts Studio in Japan. She performed in some musicals such as Cats, A Chorus Line, Wicked, and Hairspray in her high school.
Aoi came to the U.S. In 2015. She attended Orange Coast College (OCC) as a dance major and has taken many different styles of dance classes, such as Ballet, Modern, Hip-hop, choreography, tap, Jazz, Flamenco, Middle Eastern, and Latin. She got to perform in American College Dance Association National Conference at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts as a part of the OCC Hip hop dance group in 2018. She has received several scholarships and awards from the OCC Dance department for 3 years. Aoi was professionally on the stage with Jose Costas Contempo Ballet in 2016 and 2018.
In 2020, Aoi received a BA in Dance from the University of California Irvine (UCI) where she trained under Lar Lubovitch, Tong Wang, Loretta Livingston, and more faculties. She was chosen by faculty, graduate student, and undergraduate student choreographers to work with and to perform their choreographies many times at UCI.
